Frequently asked questions
What is Smart Scaler and how does it differ from a regular industrial scale?
A regular scale shows weight. Smart Scaler ties the scale to the recipe: the operator sees the next component and its target on screen, the system checks the deviation at the moment of weighing and records the result against the batch. No paper, no retyping afterwards.
How long does a pilot take?
Three months from mapping to a working setup — process review, configuration, integration and operator training included.
Does it work with our existing ERP?
We integrate directly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central over its API and OData. Items, recipes and batches move without a manual step in between. For other ERPs we review the integration options during mapping.
Who installs the sensors and how long does production stop?
Anyone can install a sensor — no special tools, no electrical work. Production does not need to stop.
What happens if a sensor drops off the network?
Buffering depends on the sensor model — some send the missed readings once the connection is back, some do not. Either way, a sensor that goes quiet triggers an email alert. We pick the right sensors for your critical points during mapping.
How is it priced?
From €5 per sensor per month. The final price depends on the number of sensors and the modules you use.
Is the data in the cloud or on our own servers?
The data is held in an EU cloud.
What happens to the data if we stop working together?
We hand over all data as CSV files.
